Recommended Use

Many sport horses receive little to no concentrated feed for a variety of reasons. They may for example be over sensitive to sugar and carbs, hyperactive, overweight, or obtain their energy in the form of grains such as barley, oats, spelt, etc. This is not a problem in and of itself, as long as they still get all the nutrients they need. Sport horses require even higher levels of certain vitamins and minerals than recreational horses.

For example, those vitamins and minerals that provide muscle support or protection, or water-soluble vitamins, as these horses drink and sweat more. Cavalor NutriPlus supplies all these nutrients, allowing the horse to perform at its best. Cavalor NutriPlus should be given alongside sufficient amounts of roughage, possibly in addition to grains for horses that need extra energy.

Key Ingredients

Cavalor Nutri Plus contains all the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, electrolytes, fatty acids and amino acids necessary for a sports horse to perform at its best. It takes nutrients already present in the roughage into account. For example, no extra iron is added, as the roughage already contains plenty. Balancing the various nutrients is also very important, as certain substances may interfere with the absorption of others. For example, too much iron can keep copper and zinc from being absorbed properly. Cavalor Nutri Plus does not contain additional sources of energy or protein, preventing the horse or pony from becoming hot or overweight. To optimise the stability of Cavalor NutriPlus, the vitamins are separated from the trace elements. This keeps them from reacting with each other.
The green pellets contain vitamins and minerals, while the beige pellets contain trace elements. The mix of pellets is perfectly homogeneous, ensuring that the horse receives the proper amount.

Macrominerals

• Magnesium: above all important for supporting the muscle function of sport horses
• Calcium: important for bone formation and muscle contraction, among other things
• Sodium, potassium and chlorine: important for the pH balance, fluid retention and muscle and nervous tissues, among other things

Microminerals

• Zinc: important for a healthy skin, coat and hooves. It also plays a major role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats and the immune system. Helps delay muscle fatigue
• Manganese: important for skeletal formation, muscle function and the absorption of fats and carbohydrates
• Copper: important for the health of the coat, as well as bone, cartilage and joint development
• Iodine: important for thyroid function
• Cobalt: important for the development of intestinal flora and vitamin B12
• Selenium: works with vitamin E to help protect muscle cells
